When loving others becomes a way of losing ourselves

Dear Reader,

As Mother’s Day approaches this Sunday, I’ve been sitting with the complexity of what it means to be a "nurturer."

For many of us, our lives are driven by a profound love and a genuine value for the wellbeing of others. We are the observers, the emotional anchors, and the holders of space, regardless if we hold the title of ‘mother’ or not.

But there is a shadow side to that drive for love: we can become stuck constantly looking outwards that we lose the ability to look in.

We get trapped in a cycle where our own internal needs and desires are perpetually trumped by the perceived "shoulds" of our roles. And when we finally hit a wall, we’re told that a candle-lit bath or a nice meal is the "self-care" we need.

But we know that a bath isn’t going to cut it.

When you are navigating the deep waters of motherhood or the shifting seasons of life, what you actually need isn't a temporary escape—it’s reclamation.

You need dedicated time. A regular check-in. The permission to simply be without having to "do" for anyone else. And perhaps most importantly, you need the support of other women who get it.

There is a unique kind of power in a circle of women who may be at entirely different stages of life, yet offer you the exact grace and love that feels so hard to give yourself right now.

I wonder if this resonates with you?

Starting June 4th, I am setting aside four Thursday evenings for you to move past the guilt and the people-pleasing. Through thoughtful discussions, somatic movement, and shared reflection, we will practice distinguishing our own yes from our no and learning to trust that internal voice again.

If you are tired of looking outwards for permission to rest, I invite you to join me.

This might be the moment you’ve been waiting for. Early Bird pricing ends Monday 11 May.

With love and warmth,

Zac ♥

Dear Reader, It has been two weeks since I last landed in your inbox. I’ve been away for one of those weeks, and my focus shifted entirely to my kids while they were on school holidays. If you've ever navigated the holiday shift, you know it isn't necessarily an easier time. For me, it required adapting to a completely different rhythm of life, accepting what cannot be controlled, and constantly reminding myself to be gentle with myself as stress levels—and sibling rivalry—inevitably...

Honouring Your Needs in Times of Stress

Dear Reader, This week, I've found myself navigating a bumpy personal landscape. And it got me reflecting on the delicate, ongoing dance of carrying the weight of the world while still allowing ourselves to live fully within it. How do we notice the pain, suffering, and unfairness in the world without letting it completely dampen or strip away our permission to experience the joyful, frivolous, beautiful parts of life? And on the flip side, how do we avoid shutting that pain out so much that...

Dear Reader, Last night, as we sat in circle for the third week of our current workshop series, the space felt raw and tender. There was a collective awakening as the group shared that they were beginning to truly notice and name the different parts of themselves. But sitting right alongside that awareness was a heavy exhaustion. We talked about how we are still stretching ourselves thin, and how hard it can feel to actually say "no" in the moments that matter most—blocked by a myriad of old...
